No oils are extracted from our ginger.
All the goodness is baked in during our drying process. Then we gently blend, and bag it for you to enjoy!
How it all started.
A word from our founder
I grew up drinking black tea. Just builders brew really.
After lockdown I started paying more attention to what I was putting in my body. Herbal teas were the next step. I tried enough to get properly curious, and then - because I can't help myself once a topic gets in - I started reading about how they're actually made.
Then I discovered something.
Most people have heard of gingerols - what's on the label, what industry standards focus on. What I couldn't find anywhere in mainstream ginger marketing - what regulators and producers seem to have collectively looked past - is shogaol.
Shogaol is what gives ginger its deeper heat. The kind that stays in the cup. It mostly forms under specific conditions - which standard commercial processing doesn't reach.
So I set out to fix it.
That became Ayven.
